Cookies

He poots the cook in cookie. For he is a cook. Is he not?
I've been really digging Band of Horses lately. like really digging.
I love finding new favourites. it's my oldest favourite thing to do.

Excerpts, Part 2

Time for some more bookkeeping.

waterwheels and white rooms
a black door opens
and we return
~~
That it wasn't part of some great scheme or plan, it was just to be courteous in a way, to keep different parts of the world flowing to other parts of the world. And I mean, what could you make out of something rock and something plant? things were just meant to be as one.
~~
Elfant Ears
~~
In this bittersweet,
Semi-sick future
Nothing is ever the same,
Nothing is ever changed,
Not in our world.
But in the one we create...
A mental playground.
Do I see it because we make it?
Or do we make it?
Or is the future even what I've seen?
It felt... and it felt real.
Somewhere it's real.
Maybe it's death.
But that really is such a harsh word.
We think.
We are human, after all.
Much in common, when we fall.
The other side is a conscious gift.
This one gives subconscious lift.
who knows who knows who knows
~~
No longer a solitary moment,
It became sharable

Story A: Organica

Okay, storytime. of course everything is subject to change... this is mega early in the whole process.

this is the first story i've really had in my mind up to this point... it's gone through many, many changes since it first came to mind. It's broken into three parts, which i can't directly explain right now.

The main background for the story is that some time many millenia ago; perhaps at the "dawn of man" as it could be called, a man fell asleep and dreamed of a future. the future he dreamed of had no technological communication. That means, no telephones (not to mention cell phones), no television, no radio, no internet... perhaps not even any recorded music, or music players [i'm still figuring details here]. Technology would be confined to things like cars, traffic lights etc, lights, lightswitches etc, trains, planes, automobiles, and spaceships.[not quite sure, it'll be worked out though. the main difference between this world and ours is no enhanced communication other than newspapers, billboards... written word.]

The main character of the first of three stories is Alven West (sometimes called Al), whose sister is Jessica Quest (sometimes called Jay) [those are teeerrible last names]. The main plot i have so far, involves
-Al selling drugs, going to prison
-doomsday
-a strange light on the horizon.

and that's all i'm giving you today.

Excerpts, part 1

Sorry, sorry, I haven't been very loyal to this. but I should reeeally start, like really bad. I sortof need to, personally, yes, I feel it's necessary.

Sorry. I'm rambling.
Crazy shit is going on all around me. I turn seventeen in two days, and I'm cooking up some new years' resolutions.

ANYway, let me let you into my mind. That's really the premise of this thing. To start, I've got this book of just random writings, things on and off my mind, lyrics, drawings... i'll try to get the drawings up at some point.I'm sure all the writings will just paint me as some kind of beatnik. Only the artwork will really capure my true crazy nature. Either way, it's all digital.

I think i'll start us off with some seasonal poetry. it accentuates the imbboggality of such mnah mnah blaahww

Snow falls now...
Too cold for rain.
A good day for love.

Times of the year,
Fall as so much more,
In so much less.
Stay a while, don't dry up.

Don't soak in.
Melt away and begin...
Again.

The First Beginning

Well, this is the first post of the rest of my life. After many unsuccessful attempts joining forums, message boards, etc. I'm finally throwing myself into the world of blogging, and it really couldn't be at a better time in my life. So much has happened that hasn't been written, and I'm betting a lot of it never will be; but of course, something will be written. I mean, this IS a blog. and that IS why I'm here.
So what's up? welcome to my new home on dot com lane. I'm just moving in and getting settled, but that's no reason not to say hello. When I'm finished unpacking the last box, hell, I'll have a housewarming party, invite all the neighbors.

As the title implies, this blog will be full of random ramblings, sort of an online journal for me. But that's only half of what will end up here. Beginnings is a running title for a series of stories I've yet to get on paper. With luck, and anything else that comes along with it, those stories will end up here too. No, scratch that- they'll be born here. From first thought to last, I'll document/transcribe whatever to do with whatever, for your reading pleasure. and hopefully more than a little criticism.
